*FEMALE PLS* Modern Surrey Homestay

Hello! I wanted to take an opportunity to introduce myself and tell you more about my available bedroom and bathroom that I have listed. **Please note that my listing is for a FEMALE homestay, no males, no couples** But before I tell you more about the accommodation I potentially have for you, let me tell you a little about me. My name is Amanda and I have a small Pomeranian dog, he’s a friendly little guy who absolutely loves people! I sure hope that you are a dog lover, if not, this listing will not be an ideal match for you. I am a clean and reasonably tidy person but having a dog means that sometimes you let that little boundary bend because they are little fur people that can make a mess! I am a female in my 40s (I look a lot younger) and I am more like a big sister than an “adult” figure I am of West Indian descent (parents are from Guyana, a small country in South America) and I have Indian roots (South Asian) but I unfortunately don’t really know much more than that as they never took the time to learn about our history and share it but my culture is almost like a fusion of East Indian & Jamaican but I am technically “West Indian” I like learning about other cultures and meeting new people and seem to get along with all types One of the biggest and most positive traits I have to share with you that may appeal to you depending on what you are looking for in a homestay is that I love to cook and I am a good cook at that! I use to have a meal prep business and a lot of happy customers but I don’t do that anymore and there is nothing that I love more than cooking for other people! I am always cooking food and bringing it to work to share! I am an extroverted introvert – I have a big bubbly personality, but I also appreciate that peace and quiet time I spend a lot of time with my little dog at home or out on adventures I am fun loving with a vibrant spirit and I am a bit of a jokester I have a passion for rescue dogs and animals I am professionally employed, and I own my own home I have lived in this area of the Lower Mainland for most of my life – I was born and raised in Delta and then moved to Surrey Summer is my season and I absolutely love the sunshine and hot sunny days I am passionate about clothes and makeup; you could call me a bit of a Fashionista I have a Poshmark store that I sell clothes through – I do this for a bit of extra money that I then can recycle through my closet or use for other things of interest I am a lover of music – all types, and I love going to concerts I have a lot of interests that may or may not appeal to someone who is looking to live with me – movies, music, concerts, food, festivals, travel, road trips, shopping I am definitely not the outdoorsy type but I love spending time on the Seawall downtown doing the long walks in the summer and taking in the sun and the people watching and even sometimes stopping for a little bite to eat and trying new places along the way – I would love for you to join us! If after reading all this and you think that we share some commonalities, I would like to share what I have to offer you with my accommodation. I would love to form a friendship of sorts with the person that comes to stay with me! A back corner bedroom that gets a lot of sunlight – very bright Single bed Desk & chair Alarm clock Lamp Coffee maker and I will stock some tea/coffee for you There is a double IKEA pax wardrobe with pull out drawers, hanging space and shelves New bedding and towels Extra blanket for the bed Hair dryer Bathroom basics: Toilet paper Toothbrushes Shampoo Body wash I am willing to provide laundry – I will do one load a week for you as my machine is new and I do not want to risk any issues or damage You have access to the gym in my building as well so you wouldn’t need to spend money on a gym membership The one expectation that I have is that you keep the room and bathroom tidy and clean and I will provide cleaning supplies for you to do so! NO DRINKING / NO DRUGS Location Centrally located in Surrey on a main road – Scott Road / 120th Street Surrey/Delta border I live 1 block from the bus stops The 319 bus runs every 15 minutes Closest major universities are: Kwantlen Polytechnic Simon Fraser University (Surrey Campus at Surrey Central Skytrain station) There are MANY other local schools that are reasonably close by There is a new “Rapid bus line” that was built in the last 18 months and is fully operational Close to a major bus station – Strawberry Hill Exchange 15 mins via bus to the Scott Road Skytrain Station Skytrain will take you to most major areas west of the Fraser River and over the bridges very quickly New Westminster Richmond Burnaby Coquitlam Vancouver Sea Bus can take you across the water from Vancouver to North Vancouver Almost all amenities are within a short walking distance from my home Dr’s offices / Walk in clinics Fast food Grocery store Nail salon Pub Bank Electronics store Hardware store Gym Tim Horton’s Drug store Walmart Scottsdale Mall Post office Restaurants IHOP Krispy Kreme donuts If my homestay sounds like something you might be interested in given all the information that I have provided, I would love to hear from you!
