About us: We are an elderly couple in our 60’s with an empty nest. The husband is retired and spends most of his time at home watching news or sports on TV. He is a very big hockey fan. The wife works so she is away half the day, and when she is home, spends most of her time reading books on her phone. Occasionally, we have family over for dinner and host friends on the weekend, but most of the time, the house is quiet. We can answer questions, but we mostly keep to ourselves and will respect your privacy and will leave you to do your own thing. We are looking for one student to host at the moment, with one room available for now. Our preferred method of payment is cash or e-transfer upon arrival. The House: Our home is a 3 bedroom house on 2 levels, with the bedrooms on the upper floor and the main on the lower floor. There are 3 washrooms in total, with 2 being available to you. You will have full access to all the shared common areas in the house including the living room, bathrooms, kitchen, yard, fridge and laundry facilities. A hair dryer is provided in the washroom outside your room. There is a larger desk in the office room on the main floor that is open for you to use if you need more desk space. Meals: Breakfast supplies will be provided to you in the form of fruits, milk, cereal, coffee, tea, jam, eggs, and toast. You will be responsible for preparing these yourself. A hair dryer is available in the washroom right outside your room. Capacity: 1 Rates: Weekly / 1050.00 Monthly House Rules: - Do not invite guests - You may eat on the desk in our room but not on your bed - Quiet times is after 10pm - Keep your room clean and clean up after using the bathroom and kitchen - Wash your own dishes - Secure the house and close all windows and lock the front door when you leave - No outdoor shoes in the house, indoor slippers only - Do not open the door for strangers - Only flush toilet paper down the toilet. Anything else goes in the garbage bin near the toilet - Turn off all lights and electronics when you leave the house - Do not move furniture without asking
