Friendly Host for exchange students

Stay with me in my home and meet other international travelers. I have hosted many people from around the world sometimes for last minute stay over, a few days and a couple of weeks. I am a working professional. I live in an area of Brooklyn, New York called Bedford Stuyvesant (Bed/Stuy). My apartment is on the second floor of a private home. I live in the building on the first floor of the apt with while my mum lives in the basement apt - where you can pick up and return key from time to time. The apt you will be staying with me is on the second floor. There are 3 bedrooms rooms, two with a single bed in each, and the other bedroom has 2 twin sized beds (can be put together to make one big bed, see picture) and a shared full bathroom in the hallway. I am of West African origin and have lived and traveled to many countries. I welcome people from diverse cultural backgrounds as well as faiths. I provide (but feel free to bring your own) towels, washcloth, Complimentary towel, washcloth, toiletries, hair dryer, tea, coffee, microwave, coffee maker, detergent - please inquire about availability upon check arrival. Continental breakfast included. I appreciate guests from any and every culture and religious background especially those looking to explore different places - cultural and religious in New York City. I often get passes to events at the UN and I will be more than happy to take guests along with me to experience the International organization. My home from the nearest train station is just a five minutes ride to downtown Brooklyn - Brooklyn Bridge area, a ten minutes train ride to Manhattan, 20 minutes train ride to Times Square, 25 minutes to Columbus Circle (beginning of Central Park?). Please do not go into the other two rooms on the floor. They are private bedrooms for other guests. There is no kitchen for cooking or common room but there is a microwave, toaster, coffee maker and kettle as shown in the pictures. Please inquire before booking. Bring laptop to plug into the TV in the kitchen/common area. I will give you the password for my online TV account to watch movies, music, play games etc. Room(s): 1. Single Room (Private room - Yellow) with Shared bathroom Private room for one with a twin sized bed. There is a desk, chair, lamp and clothes rack. I have wifi and online TV station. Will give you the password for movies, music, news, sports etc. Check in after 6pm and check out by 11am. Capacity: 1 Rates: 315.00 Weekly / 1235.00 Monthly 2. Single Room (Private room for two) with Shared bathroom There is 1 single bed in the room. Shared full and .5 bath in hallway. There is a kitchen / common room. I have an online movie channel that I will give you the password to watch on the smart TV. Please travel light. Capacity: 1 Rates: Weekly / Monthly House Rules: CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF. NO LOUD MUSIC / NOISE. No specific hard rule but just minor house rules but please check the fridge door for updates. I believe we are all adults but it would be appreciated if there are no loud noises, music, smoking or drinking in the house. Most importantly, we all clean up after ourselves (cleaning products for bathroom under bathroom sink, brooms and dustpan in closet next to kitchen and towel and mop in bathroom to wipe off). Please take all garbage outside upon check out to the 2 black garbage bins outside of the house - one recycle the other regular. Also please remove all sheets and towels and place in the pillow case. You may fold the blanket and leave on the bed. When checking out, please leave the key on the front door knob of the room...and leave the room the way you met it - clean thanks in advance :) Guests are allowed to visit but not more than 2 hours before 8pm. No guests after 8pm. They are welcomed to stay over but with prior arrangements with the host and they will be charged the per person a night fee. Includes complimentary teas, coffees, toiletries, towels, breakfast, wifi, access to internet TV/movie channel, towels, washcloth, toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, lotion etc). There is a fan (I can put an A/C in for an additional charge per night) but the breeze from the trees behind the house in the summer is very cool that you may not need your fan the whole night! There is free wireless internet, hair drier, curling iron, tissue paper provided in the bathroom (or feel free to bring yours that you like:). Free calls within the U.S available. Calling cards can be purchased from the corner store (just four houses to the store). I will give you the password to my online movie channel which includes access to tons of domestic and international films, movies, documentaries, radio, music etc. There is a shared bathroom and kitchen. I have a cat named "Mimi". She is very quiet and hides most of the time so that should not be a problem because you may not get to see her. I can keep her away from the apartment during your stay in case you do not like cats. I also have two "tiny" pet turtles that are kept in a small bowl. I keep my home very clean for guests so you should not see any or have a problem with cat dander, dirt or dust. I request that you clean up after yourself. Both in the bathroom and any other space around the house that you use. All are welcome, but females and couples preferred. I welcome people from everywhere, I enjoy and appreciate cultural diversity. There is NO smoking anywhere in the home. If you need to do so, you are welcome to walk around the corner for your convenience. We provide, but feel free to bring your own toiletries, sheets, towels, washcloths, blankets etc. Please note: this listing is for travelers and not for those looking for a place to crash after a party of drinking etc in New York City.
