Do I get my own room? I love to cook. Will I get to use your fabulous kitchen? Who's going to do my laundry? And what about the Internet connection? May I bring my kids? How do you keep your colivers entertained? What are the coworking facilities like? Are pets allowed? Tell me more about your facilities. I'm a night owl. May I use the coworking space at night? How can I stay focused and productive while living with a bunch of remote workers? I don't speak Spanish. How would that work? What's the weather like in Galicia? Why are you based in the middle of nowhere? Is there parking on the property? What's included in my stay? Where exactly are you located? What should I pack? Hablo un poco Español. Will I be able to practice my Spanish and experience the local culture? I want to share my skills with other colivers during my stay. Is that possible? You could if you wanted to. We offer two options: private or shared rooms (double, triple or quadruple occupancy), both with en-suite bathrooms. We insist that you do! We have a fully equipped professional kitchen. Take advantage of the fresh produce that we source from local farmers or go foraging in the woods for lunch or dinner. And don’t forget about our BBQ pits and bread oven on the terrace. Nobody can resist fresh baked pizzas and breads! Weekly housekeeping is included in our rates but you’re going to have to do your own laundry. There’s a washer and dryer on property. We ask that you maintain good hygiene and keep your room tidy every day as a courtesy to other colivers. The entire property is equipped with high-speed 300mbps fibre optic Internet. You can connect from anywhere, even in the pool area. As this is essentially a working environment, our facilities aren’t baby-proofed or child-friendly. Having kids around can be a major distraction for other colivers and for you. So, it’s a no. We organise optional community activities like pool parties, BBQs, movie nights, game nights, etc. as well as outdoor excursions and adventures for nature lovers and adrenaline junkies. You will find plenty of flexible workspace options to suit your mood of the day and the fickle Galician weather. There’s a bright and airy coworking room and a multi-purpose room—perfect for workshops, conferences, indoor activities. If you prefer to work outdoors, we’ve prepared tables and chairs on the shaded patios or just sit under an oak tree and work away! We are a pet-friendly home and we welcome all fur babies with some considerations: as long as they’re friendly, quiet, toilet-trained, sleep on their own beds and that you clean and pick up after them, we’re cool. As a consideration to others, pets are not permitted on any furniture. This property consists of 10 spacious light-filled accommodations with en-suite bathrooms, a cosy coworking space, a multi-purpose room, a professional kitchen, a breakfast nook, a dining area, a little lounge with a fireplace, a seasonal swimming pool with sun-loungers, a shaded terrace and organic gardens. The forest is a two-minute walk. Yes, our coworking room is open 24/7 for your convenience. Hoot, hoot! We have house rules and that include making sure that colivers respect the serenity of our shared workspaces. If you want to take a breather, there are plenty of spaces within our property where you can be alone, or feel free to head outdoors and go for a nature walk in the forest nearby to refresh your mind. No worries! We’re an international community here and we speak English, among several other languages. In the village of Anceu, the local Galician language is widely spoken, and also Spanish, of course. Galicia is famous for its abundant rainfall and temperate Mediterranean climate. Winters are mild and rainy. January is the coldest and wettest month with an average maximum temperature of 11 °C. The rainy season starts from January to May, and from October to December. Summer is the driest season, with an average maximum temperature of 24 °C, with August being the driest month. You mean, why did we choose to be surrounded with green valleys, rugged mountains, dramatic cliffs, stunning coastlines and white sandy beaches? Basically, our founder Agustín was worried about the alarming numbers of abandoned Spanish villages and he wanted to do something about it. He fell in love with Anceu and this restored farmhouse and the rest is history. Come see it for yourself! Yes. We have plenty of free parking space on property. You’ll get farm-fresh eggs, seasonal fruits and vegetables from local famers, coffee, tea and water throughout your stay. We also provide linens, towels, toiletries and cleaning service. You’ll have 24/7 workspace and common area access as well as some community activities like game nights, weekly BBQ, pool party, etc. The property is located in the village of Anceu in the region of Galicia in Spain. The village has a population of approximately 200 inhabitants. The nearest city is Pontevedra in the north-west of the Iberian Peninsula. This area is known as “Green Spain”, meaning be prepared for unpredictable, wild, wet and windy days. Consider the kind of activities you’ll be doing on your trip and pack according to the time of the year and keep it casual. Pack something to keep you dry. A raincoat is a wise choice, so is layering your clothes. In the summer, when the sky’s blue and the sun’s out, you’re going to want to swim or soak up the sun, so bring your swimsuits, sunglasses, sunscreen lotions and hats. Our natural surroundings are breathtakingly picturesque. You might be inspired to walk around. Comfortable boots or walking shoes will come in handy here. Always check the weather forecast before your trip. Most definitely! Keep in mind we’re in a super remote location here, so you can’t get any more local than this. Step out of the comfort zone of the community and the friendly locals await! Feel free to practice your Spanish with them or better yet, learn some Galego (Galician language)! Yes, please do! This is the essence of the sharing culture that we’re cultivating here in our community. Whether you’re a yoga teacher, meditation guru, photographer, chef, artist, musician, tap-dancer, etc. we encourage you to share your skill or hidden talent with our community during your stay. This is how we grow and thrive as a society.
