One Room or Homestay for Student/Full-time Working Young Person in Varsity Lakes About the Place We are a friendly Asian family living in Varsity Lakes. Currently only two of us (mother-home worker / son-24yr Uni student doing master degree) with an indoor cat living in the house most of the time. We have one bedroom available from now to accommodate a single student or full-time working young person for flexible term (long term can be arranged if we get along well). We welcome everyone, incl. all orientations and identities. Ours is a quiet and laid back neighbourhood very close to the lake, perfect for those who like jogging or running along the lakeside path. It is located ideally for you to travel easily to Bond University, shopping, beaches, and other popular local destinations. A nearby train station and bus stop allows for easy travel to Brisbane and surrounding areas. Bond University – 1.9 km (4 min drive, 27 min walk) Aldi – 0.5 km Robina Town Centre – 2.1 km (6 min drive, 30 min walk) Varsity Lakes Station – 1.4 km (4 min drive, 25 min walk) Other Nearby Amenities: Gym, Swimming, Beach, Library, Sports Grounds, Fishing, Bus Stops, Hospital, Park, Lakeside Walk, Golf, Bowling, Cinema, Restaurant. Accommodation Details and Term: - $300/week, to be paid weekly 2 days before moving in, and always 2 days before new rent week starts after that. - No bond required. - Internet and water/electricity bills included. - 1 bedroom with ceiling fan, built-in robe, desk, chair, single bed (beddings not included), bedside table w/ drawers. - 1 bathroom plus 1 toilet room to be shared with one person. - Kitchen and kitchen facilities/utensils are free to use with instruction. - Meals could be provided at agreed cost. - Washing machine is free to use with instruction. - Some other household stuff may be free to use upon request. - Term is flexible. No obligation for both parties, only how we get along matters. To end the term, two weeks’ notice for room provider should be given to the housemate, and one weeks’ notice for the housemate to room provider. To make both happy, the first two weeks are trial period. During the trial period, each party can stop the trial by giving three days’ notice. It can be extended to one week notice for the tenant if she/he cannot find the accommodation in three days. When the above conditions met, no penalty or compensation should be requested or paid to either party. Rent should be paid to the last day. Requirements: - The room is for the individual only, no other people - No pets to be brought in - No drugs or smoking - No parties and events in the house - Keep own room clean - Clean own cups and dishes - Clean kitchen, bathroom and toilet after use - Take weekly turns completely cleaning the bathroom and the toilet room - No loud music - Do not leave fan or lights on when not in room - Keep the room windows shut when going out Once the rent is paid and accepted, all conditions and requirements mentioned in this advertisement should be abided by for both parties.
