We do not ask for a security deposit We have 4 cats that we saved during the lockdown, but we normally do not accept pets from guests. Exceptions are guide-dogs for exemple. Nevertheless please contact us, depending on type of pet, size etc, we may open an exception. Yes — we have one indoor coworking area plus plenty of outdoor spots for working. The indoor space is quiet with power outlets, and the outdoor areas are great when you want fresh air. We welcome a friendly mix of people — mostly remote workers and digital nomads, along with creatives, entrepreneurs, and occasional travelers. Our team and on-site staff help keep things running smoothly. Guests are generally social and community-minded, but there’s also plenty of quiet space for focused work. Please follow local laws and be of legal drinking age, keep noise and behavior considerate so you don’t disturb other guests or staff, and tidy up after yourself. Excessive intoxication or disruptive behavior isn’t allowed and may result in removal. If you’re unsure about designated areas or quiet hours, please check the house rules on your booking. Yes—there are several great restaurants and cafés within a short walk from our house, offering local specialties, casual bistros, and cozy coffee shops. There’s a bus stop about a 2-minute walk from the house with regular service to the city center. Taxis and ride-hailing apps are also easy to get from here, and many guests find it convenient to walk or bike to nearby shops and cafés. The nearest airport is about a 5-minute drive from our place. By public transport it usually takes around 20–30 minutes depending on the connection and time of day. Taxis and ride-shares are also readily available. The Gruta do Carvão offers guided tours through an extensive lava tube system with fascinating geological formations. You’ll also find scenic hiking trails and volcanic viewpoints, sandy beaches for swimming and sunbathing, water sports like surfing and snorkeling, a lively historic center with cafes, markets and local restaurants, and parks for relaxing or picnics. Our team can recommend the best activities and help arrange tours during your stay. Pricing depends on availability. We take security seriously. Private rooms have lockable doors, and we offer secure storage options and key-access entry to the building. Our team regularly reviews safety measures and is available to help if any issue arises. Yes — you can lock your bedroom door for privacy and security. We provide a lock and key for each private room; if you need a spare key or help with the lock, just ask our team. For safety, staff may need to access rooms in emergencies.
