Quiet Heritage Home

We are a professional couple with three adult adult children (moved out) and a very loving dog. We have hosted homestay students since 2000 and enjoy sharing our culture and learning from others. Our 1929 character home is in a quiet, safe neighbourhood that is close to transit, downtown, Hastings Park and the beach. We enjoy gardening, cycling, cooking, volunteering and traveling. We are native English speakers, but we can get by in French and Spanish if needed. We are an LGBTQ-friendly Christian family who are family-centred, peaceful, and considerate. We welcome guests who are thoughtful and open to others. During COVID-19, we are only accepting guests who have been double vaccinated or who have quarantined and had their first shot. *We do not accept guests who are minors (under age 19). Room(s): 1. Single Room (Quiet and cozy ground level suite ) with Shared bathroom A quiet bedroom with queen bed on the ground floor of our house, part of a newly renovated 2 bedroom suite with a shared kitchen and bathroom. Private entrance through back door that opens to the garden. Interactions with the family, who share the home. Capacity: 1 Rates: 300.00 Weekly / 1000.00 Monthly 2. Single Room (Quiet and bright ground floor suite) with Shared bathroom This is a bright bedroom with a queen bed for 1 person. It's on the ground floor with windows looking south / west. Private entrance through back door that opens to the garden. You share a kitchen, sitting area and laundry. Capacity: 1 Rates: 300.00 Weekly / 1100.00 Monthly 3. Single Room (Garden room) with Shared bathroom This is a very quiet, bright room on the ground floor that opens to the garden. It is part of a newly renovated suite with a shared kitchen. Private entrance through back door that opens to the garden. Interactions with the family, who share the home. Capacity: 1 Rates: 325.00 Weekly / 1200.00 Monthly House Rules: Only paying guests are allowed in our home. No smoking or drugs of any kind are allowed on the property. We do not drink more than a glass or two of wine; we expect you to use the same moderation. We will keep the shared spaces and house clean. We expect you to clean your own room and tidy up after yourself. If you stay more than three weeks, I may check your room monthly for general cleanliness if it's a concern. Our home is quiet from 10 pm to 7 am. We have had two vaccines and the booster. We accept guests who have had two vaccines. We do not host minors, guests under age 19.
