Wellinton Place West Queen West Fort York National Historic Site and Liberty Village Wellington Place: Wellington Place is a great fit for the many affluent young professionals who populate the area. It’s close to just about everything: the necessities, like hospitals and groceries, as well as the fun stuff, like bars and restaurants (it has the most per capita in the city). Contributing to the area’s explosive expansion is the Well, downtown’s new residential and retail mega-complex, which has added more condos, shops, restaurants and gyms to an already robust mix. West Queen West: A decade ago, Vogue magazine named WQW one of the world’s coolest neighbourhoods. The strip, which extends from Bathurst to Dovercourt, isn’t about to relinquish the crown any time soon. It remains a reliable arbiter of taste, well-loved for its quirky local shops, buzzy bars and restaurants, and iconic boutique hotels. Today, it’s usually the first to get cult-fave establishments: skin-care bar Formula Fig, inventor of the aptly dubbed “cool girl facial,” and sustainable Canadian clothing brand Kotn both opened their flagship Toronto locations in the area. The neighbourhood, which scores high in the entertainment and shopping categories, is also a frequent home to popular-on-TikTok retail pop-up the Welcome Market and the eponymous Queen West Art Crawl. While the area loses points for affordability, it scores high for commuters of all types thanks to the Queen streetcar, a robust network of bike lanes and many walkable streets. Fort York: Built on the city's original garrison grounds dating from 1793, Fort York is a high-density planned community. Young professionals inhabit its lofts, townhouses and sleek condo towers with ground-floor retail and cafes. It is also home to the Fort York National Historic Site, scene of the 1813 Battle of York, which has restored buildings, immersive exhibits and military-style Guard demonstrations in the summer. Great access to green spaces, close to Liberty Village, King West and a lot of nightlife. Libery Village: Liberty Village is a trendy, fast-growing Toronto neighborhood known for its mix of modern condos and converted industrial buildings, attracting young professionals with tech, media, and design jobs, abundant restaurants, bars, and amenities, plus excellent transit access, great walkability to the waterfront and King Street West. It offers an urban lifestyle with many cafes, patios, and retail, functioning as a creative and tech hub with a vibrant, youthful energy, especially around game nights for Toronto FC. Great for new person coming to the city to look for apartments. Great way to avoid AirBnb. Good way to use my room as a camp so that u can go and find u self a room in Toronto. For my 10 day, or more patrons: Near five parks in the city centre, this Spartan place is a minute's walk from a tram stop, 1 km from the CN Tower and 4 km from the Royal Ontario Museum. Enjoy King/Bathurst food scene, The Well shopping and historic Fort York which are all a short walking distance away. YMCA, gym and pool are near buy and several activity sports centers are just around the corner. I accommodate 1 person with a separate bedroom with a queen bed, space for study, office, and triple closet space. I am well-travelled guy who love the Toronto downtown life. Laundry is in the building and if you need parking it could get complicated, so no parking. If you are student electric scoter, or one wheel, is best thing ever. Guy or a girl, student, international, I don't care, as long as you are cool and civil! It means easy going, friendly, no drugs, no alcoholics, no people with criminal records. CLEAN person. Cleanliness and tidiness is very important. Not leaving personal items around after you’re done using a common area, kitchen counters wiped after use and left sparkling for the next person, shared household responsibilities (dusting, sweeping, etc.) Definition of clean (if you use something -- plates, pots, forks, glasses, etc. - you wash them and return them BACK to cupboards for me to use, or you, or our guests…simple). The room is fully furnished so you are set for that. I supply linens. All you need is your towels.
