Welcome to our home in beautiful San Diego! We are a busy, welcoming family who loves opening our home to people from around the world. Cultural exchange has been a huge part of our lives, and over the years we have hosted exchange students, international visitors, and guests who quickly became part of our extended family. Our household includes my husband, a U.S. Navy servicemember, our children ranging from toddler to young adult, and our pets. Life here is active, family-oriented, and never boring! You'll often find us enjoying family dinners, exploring San Diego, spending time outdoors, attending sporting events, or simply relaxing together at home. What makes our home special is that we believe everyone belongs. We understand that staying in a new country can feel exciting and overwhelming at the same time, so we strive to create a comfortable, supportive environment where guests feel welcomed from day one. Whether you're coming to study, work, travel, or improve your English, we're happy to help you navigate life in San Diego while giving you the independence and privacy you need. Our home is located in a safe neighborhood with convenient access to schools, public transportation, shopping, restaurants, beaches, and many of San Diego's most popular attractions. We enjoy sharing local recommendations and helping guests experience Southern California like a local. Twin Room (Guest bedroom) with Shared bathroom This room is upstairs and can hold 1-2 guests. We have the option to set it up multiple ways with one large bed or two single twin size beds. Colors vary based on gender we are preparing for. Out the window is the backyard. Capacity: 2 Rates: 415.00 Weekly / 3250.00 Monthly House Rules: House Rules & Expectations • Please treat our home, family members, pets, and belongings with respect. • Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM so everyone can rest. • Guests are responsible for keeping their bedroom and bathroom areas clean and tidy. • Please clean up after yourself in shared spaces, including the kitchen and dining areas. • Let us know in advance if you will be home late or away overnight. • Overnight guests are not permitted without prior approval. • Smoking, vaping, and illegal drug use are not permitted anywhere on the property. • Moderate alcohol consumption by guests of legal drinking age is acceptable, but excessive drinking is not. • Please lock doors and windows when leaving the home. • Laundry facilities are available; we will explain the schedule and procedures upon arrival. • We are a family home with children, so we ask that guests be mindful of language, noise levels, and appropriate behavior. • We have friendly dogs, so guests should be comfortable around pets. • Communication is important. If you have questions, concerns, or need help with anything, please don't hesitate to ask. Payment Policy • A 25% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation. • The remaining balance is due no later than 72 hours prior to arrival. • Payments may be made securely through PayPal. • Reservations may be canceled if full payment is not received by the required deadline. Our goal is to create a comfortable, welcoming environment where guests feel at home while respecting each other's space, privacy, and routines. We are looking for guests who want a cultural exchange experience and to become part of our family during their stay, not just rent a room.
