The cafés, bars, restaurants, museums, galleries, castle, and Roman bridge are all within a few meters. A few hundred meters away is the ferry embarkation, which has frequent daily crossings to the beautiful golden beach of Tavira Island. As well as the many restaurants and cafes within a short walk, there are also options for food delivery to the house. When you exit the front door, you step straight into the historic centre of Tavira, with its cobbled streets and many churches. You can even hear the church bells from our roof terrace. Everything you require is within easy walking distance, so taxis and transport are not required. However, should you wish to explore further, there is a great bike rental shop close by where you can hire pedal or electric bikes. We also rent scooters, should you wish to hire one.
If you are looking for a truly authentic Algarvian experience, then our house is the perfect coliving space for you. This beautiful accommodation is located among the oldest streets in Tavira, Eastern Algarve, Portugal. The house is hidden in a small residential square behind the main praça in the heart of the historical center of Tavira, one of the most architecturally attractive towns in the Algarve.
Everything within town is a short walk away, and we are only a 2-minute walk from the bus station with local services as well as coach services to Seville, Spain, Lisbon, and Porto, amongst other Portuguese towns. The house comprises five individually decorated double private bedrooms with double-size beds (150 x 200 cm), all with desks and WIFI, balconies or exterior doors, and en-suite shower rooms. Three of the bedrooms open onto the small residential square at the front of the building. The remaining two have private patio areas with tables and seating, ideal for taking a coffee, enjoying the sun, or just relaxing.
Each room has been designed and comfortably furnished, so you can enjoy the space and truly relax. To make your stay more comfortable, each bedroom has heating for the winter and a dehumdifier machine. We provide a hairdryer in each room, and our 100% Egyptian cotton towels and linen will make your stay even more pleasurable. The shower rooms include complimentary, fragrant toiletries enriched with essential oils to help you relax. We provide weekly room cleaning and linen/towel changes as well as regular communal area cleaning.
There is a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and washing machine/tumble dryer, a bean-to-cup coffee machine, and a filtered drinking water dispenser in the lounge for you to use whenever you like and at no extra cost.. There is a spacious, dedicated work room with desks and chairs that can be used on a daily basis and can also be booked for meetings or to take private video calls. As well as the communal lounge, we also have a roof terrace where you can sit and relax in one of our comfy loungers. The whole house provides free WiFi access. The roof terrace offers both sun and shade and is a pleasant place to rest and unwind. There is a TV in the main lounge area where you can catch up on TV, news, shows, and sporting events. There is a dedicated quiet work space with desks.
The house is a great place to meet and connect with other people and for strong friendships to blossom. For those that are interested, we can organise themed evenings, such as Thai or Nepalese nights where you can have food cooked and served to you at the house. This is a great way to integrate everyone together in a fun and informal way.
We welcome everyone and anyone to join us in our little haven in the sun. We love to have people stay with us who are happy and enjoying life, or perhaps need a bit of this lifestyle to feel the love. Our purpose is to create a space where guests can make fun memories, make friends, make future contacts, and be inspired to produce their most amazing work.
We can arrange specific trips or excursions and pass on our advice and recommendations. If you would like to take Portuguese language lessons, we have a teacher we can arrange for online or in person lessons with. For those that are interested in sports activities, within Tavira there is a fully equipped gym, a dance studio, tennis courts, and an indoor swimming pool. As we are located in the centre of Tavira, there are many yoga studios we can recommend, as well as massages. There are local live music venues open throughout the year that we can recommend, and we can help you arrange excursions and experiences such as wine tasting, olive oil production, art-based workshops such as printmaking, ceramics, drawing, etc. Getting involved with local groups is a great way to integrate into the community with locals and other colivers.
There are also other activities such as stand-up paddleboarding, kitesurfing, and kayaking. It is also possible to book daily excursions that include lunch and transport to the surrounding countryside, lakes, or beaches.

Yes, it is possible to lock your bedroom door. We recommend you lock your bedroom door if you leave the house, especially at night.
We cannot guarantee the safety of any belongings unless they are in your locked bedroom (with locked bedroom windows).
Yes, you can check-in early or late. When you make a reservation, we will contact you and ask for your arrival time so we can meet you at the house and show you around.

Each room has is own desk and chair. There is a dedicated work room with desks and desk chairs. This room can be booked if you wish to have private use. The roof terrace also has separate tables and chairs for working from.
You can always extend your stay with us. It is not possible to shorten the stay once you have made a reservation.

We have a strict policy of allowing only one guest to stay for a maximum of two nights at a cost of €20 per night. This is out of respect for the other co-livers and also because the house is not equipped for more guests.

No, we do not provide meals or snacks. We are located in the center of Tavira, so there are many shops, restaurants, take-out, and delivery services available. We do provide a complimentary bean to cup coffee machine and filtered water dispenser as well as a selection of teas.
Yes, the private bathrooms and your bedroom are cleaned on a weekly basis. All bed linens and towels are changed on a weekly basis, too.
We provide a washing machine, a hanging line, and washing liquid/conditioner for guests' use.
Yes, we provide an airport transfer service for collection and drop-off at Faro airport. Our driver will collect you from the arrivals hall at Faro airport and bring you directly to the house. The cost of this service is €45. We just need your flight details to confirm the transfer.
Yes, you can ask for additional cleaning. There is an extra fee for this additional service.
Yes, it is possible to work in the common area, but we ask that you be sympathetic to the guests, as they may wish to use the common area to relax and talk. We have a dedicated work room for working in, so we ask that this room be used for video calls, teleconferences, etc.
We like to think the neighborhood is safe. Like anywhere, do not leave valuables in view for people to see and we recommend you to keep exterior doors and windows locked when not in the room.
There are lots of great restaurants nearby, all within close walking distance. We have a list of recommended restaurants as well as places to order takeout or home deliveries.
The bus station is just around the corner from the house, and the train station is only a 20-minute walk away. Uber operates in the area, and we have private taxi firms we can recommend too. We rent scooters, and there are bicycle rentals available.
The nearest airport is Faro Airport, which is only 40 kilometers away.
There is lots to do in the area. Stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, boat trips, hiking, festivals, vineyard tours, cycling, indoor swimming, dance classes, live music, local markets, flea markets, volunteer beach clean-ups, scooter hire, and beaches.
