This is not a hotel — it is a place where you can stay inside an ordinary Japanese home and community. In this house or next door house, you may naturally meet neighbors and children from the area. There is no pressure to join — please participate only when you feel like it. We sometimes offer cultural activities such as calligraphy, origami, and takoyaki-making (materials fee applies). The neighborhood is quiet and residential. The nearest station is a 5-minute walk away, and Osaka’s main station is only 9 minutes by train. Shopping streets, supermarkets, restaurants, and bookstores are all nearby, making daily life very convenient. ?Local Encounters & Food Experiences? Within walking distance, there is a small bar that opens only on Friday nights, where Japanese locals enjoy chatting in English — perfect if you’d like to meet people during your stay. There is also a nearby restaurant that happily cooks any Japanese dish you request. Every Monday at lunchtime, a free Japanese class is held within walking distance. It is run by local volunteers and is very welcoming to beginners — a great chance to practice Japanese in real situations. ?Japanese Cultural Experience? Depending on your interests, we can arrange experiences such as takoyaki-making, calligraphy, or origami at convenient times. If our friends’ schedules allow, we can also organize yukata dressing or a tea (Matcha, green tea) experience. All activities are optional — you can choose what suits your stay best. Sorry if we're busy and can't make it in time. ?Meals at Home? Home-style dinners are available for ¥700 per meal. They are served 5 nights a week, except Mondays and Saturdays. Please let us know by the day before if you want. Guests who help with small household tasks such as cleaning or washing dishes may receive a discount. ?Event at the house next door? Events are held in the neighboring building every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. Japanese people who live nearby come to visit, but sometimes no one comes. ?Quiet Evenings? Many residents go to bed around 9:00 p.m., so the house is best suited for guests who enjoy peaceful nights. Because this is a shared home, there are a few house rules — thank you for helping everyone live comfortably together. ?About Us? Currently, the household includes 5 adults and 2 children, plus 1-4 guests depending on the season. ?Mary Mary works from home and manages the house. She is certified in calligraphy and can write your name in kanji or practice together with you. She has traveled to 48 countries. ?Hide Hide works for a manufacturing company. He is calm, a little shy, and very kind — and a great cook. ?Sui Mary and Hide's son. Born in 2022, Sui currently receives medical care and rehabilitation. Family Room (Family large room ) with Shared bathroom There is a wide king size bed (200cm*200cm) . Suitable for 2 adults and 2 small children. It is possible 3 adults by placing a additional Japanese mattress. For 4 adults, please book one more rooms. Adjacent to single small room. Capacity: 4 Rates: 35000 Weekly / 105000 Monthly 3. Single Room (Single Small room ) with Shared bathroom For single people(6.38?). New foldable beds have been installed. The room next to yours will be occupied by a family. So, it will be a bit crowded. If you want to work, we can show you another desk room. Capacity: 1 Rates: 28000 Weekly / 80000 Monthly 4. You can use the kitchen any time without 9-10 am (cleaning time). Please buy ingredients of your food by yourself. We have food storage shelves for guests. The refrigerator is shared, so please write your name on the free space and use it. You can take a bath at any time without 9-10 am (cleaning time). However, please give priority to children around 6-7pm. You can use our shampoo and soap for free. If you prepare your own shampoo, do not leave it in the bathroom, but bring it back to your room each time. We don’t have a curfew. We go to bed at 9pm so please be quiet after 9pm. If you will be home late, please open the door yourself. I will teach how to use the key when you arrive. Strollers and child seats can be rented free of charge. You may not smoke during the homestay. The smoking penalty is 50,000 yen. Please wash your clothes yourself. Landry is free. Drying is 500 per time. You can clean up your room by yourself. Please set the air conditioner at 28 degrees Celsius in summer and 20 degrees Celsius in winter. However, please let us know if you have any special circumstances.
