Dalkey's Secret Door

If you are looking for a unique experience in Dalkey, this small but beautiful Architect designed loft style studio is for you. It is located behind a secret door on a small picturesque avenue located in only five minutes’ walk to the village with all its bars restaurants and amenities and in the other direction to Coliemore Harbour with its stunning views over Dalkey Island. The Space The space takes inspiration from the Mediterranean and is white throughout with a tiny stone sided courtyard outside. The interior is decorated with beautiful prints and has stylish lighting throughout. You will have full cooking facilities- a four hob cooker, extractor, a washer dryer, a small TV, wi-fi and a music center. The loft space is accessed by quirky steps like those in a ships cabin, and has a cosy double bed from which you can catch glimpses of the sea. A pull out couch can provide sleeping for kids (who can stay with no additional cost) or for an additional couple. The shower is stylishly designed with glazed 'metro' style wall tiles. The space is highly insulated and is heated by an electric heater so you will be warm and comfortable no matter what the weather outside brings. Guest access The place has a tiny stone sided courtyard outside for you to enjoy. It is fully independent of the main house so you can come and go with ease. Guest interaction Having grown up in the area I am always delighted to meet with guests and to share local information particularly about where to eat, drink and all the spectacular local walks. Other things to note The studio is located on a narrow avenue. Parking is available outside our place but only for a small car. You will need to be skilled in reversing in tight spaces! If this doesn't suit or you have a larger car, free on street parking can be found about 4-5 minutes walk away on Rockfort Avenue. Room(s): 1.
