Cam and Anna’s Homestay Toronto, Ontario Us We are a friendly, married, couple who is interested in meeting different people from all over the world. Cam works as the head writer at a video game company (Ubisoft Toronto) and Anna is a psychologist who is currently on maternity leave. We live upstairs with our baby boy, and our fat tabby cat. The cat is not allowed to enter any of the spaces used by the homestay guest. We love our neighbourhood and are excited to help you get oriented, introduce you to all of our favourite spots, help you find your own favourites, and answer any questions you may have. Our Homestay We offer a unique homestay experience that gives you all the benefits of living with a local family while also having your own space and privacy. The homestay includes: Your own large, private bedroom with queen size bed and walk in closet Your own spacious office with beautiful wooden desk Your own bathroom with marble shower Comfortable, separate, additional areas for relaxing and eating A fully stocked kitchen for you to use On site washer and dryer High-speed internet Our Neighbourhood The house is located approximately 1 block from Landsdowne TTC subway station, which is a 10 minute subway ride to St. George station, the main stop for the U of T campus. (Come winter it’s nice to not have to wait outside for the bus!) We are located in a vibrant and convenient neighbourhood called Wallace Emerson. The home is walking distance to lots of great coffee shops, restaurants, parks and nightlife. We are walking distance to several great, affordable grocery stores; and the local and organic Dufferin Grove Farmers Market. We are walking distance to the Dufferin shopping mall, which has anything you might be looking for, including clothing and electronics stores We are close to Toronto attractions including High Park and the waterfront, and there are lots of nearby transit options, making it easy for you if you want to venture farther afield. Single Room (Large bedroom with walk in closet) with Private bathroom Capacity: 1 Rates: Weekly / 1600.00 Monthly House Rules: Below is a list of details to keep in mind while you are sharing our house with us. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask Anna or Cam. • You must provide us with updated contact information for someone we can call in case you have an emergency. • Full payment is due in cash on the first day of your stay, or on the first day of the month for longer stays. A deposit will be required in advance to confirm the booking. • There is no smoking of any kind on the property. Please do not use any products/ fresheners meant to scent the air. Please do not burn candles due to the fire risk. • Lock the door every time you leave. • No guests are permitted. • There is no curfew, but please keep noise to a minimum after 9 p.m. • Music/ t.v./ internet etc. must be listened to at a quiet volume. • Please keep the space clean and neat. Clean up if you use the kitchen. Wash all dirty dishes. Take outdoor shoes off when inside. • Laundry must be done on the weekends. Loads must be full to save energy and water (not single items), use the appropriate amount of detergent. • Linen (sheets, pillowcases, towels) must be washed 2-4 times per month. • Take trash/ green garbage/ recycling to the outdoor bins. Trash is picked up on Friday early in the morning, so it must be in the bin by Thursday night at the latest. Green garbage is picked up weekly. Garbage and recycling are picked up on alternating weeks. • Be sure all lights and taps are off if you leave. • The outdoor spaces on the property are not shared as part of the home stay. • Please do not touch the furnace or electrical panel.
