Welcome! I'm Joseph I'll be living in the home as your host, with my own private bedroom and bathroom. I'm in my 30s, work in IT, and work from home. I value a clean, respectful, and comfortable living environment and strive to create a welcoming atmosphere for my guests. I've recently started hosting, but I'll do my best to make your stay in Toronto enjoyable and help however I can. If my schedule allows, I'm happy to assist around the house, offer local recommendations, or help with things outside the home when needed. I enjoy meeting people from different cultures. I know a little Vietnamese and am currently learning Korean and Japanese. I've also had the opportunity to travel to Vietnam, South Korea, Japan, Bali, and the United States, so I always enjoy exchanging travel stories and learning about new places. Outside of work, I like staying active. You'll often find me at the gym, rock climbing, cycling, or hiking. If you're interested, you're always welcome to join me. ABOUT MY HOME AND LOCATION: My home is near Yonge street and Hilda street. It's about 15 mins bus ride to Finch station. There's an express bus 960, and it can be as quick as 8mins. Useful locations that's walk-able (< 20 mins): - Centerpoint Mall - Asian grocery stores: Galleria, H-mart, Seasons Foodmart, and T&T - Canadian grocery stores: No Frills, FreshCo, and Metro - banks, pharmacy, medical offices, cafes, restaurants, and bars For public transit, I can get you set up with a Presto card ($4), which comes with discounts (search "presto- perks"). With the Presto card, you still need to buy a transit pass or load it with money to properly use the transit. ROOMS AVAILABLE: We can do video calls on Discord, Zoom, etc to get a tour of the house. Choice of one of the following rooms: 1) Upper floor room includes lock with key, double-size bed, table, chair, closet, and a window with blinds. Shared bathroom with 2 other renters. Shared kitchen with stove, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, cabinets, and double sink. Shared washer and dryer available. Utilities and internet included. OR 2) Main floor room includes lock with key, double-size bed, table, chair, and no windows. Private ensuite bathroom. Private kitchen with 2-plate stovetop, cabinets, fridge, freezer, and single sink. Shared washer and dryer available. Utilities and internet included. OR 3) Basement room includes lock with key, double-size bed, table, chair, closet, and a window with blinds. Private ensuite bathroom. Shared basement kitchen with stove, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, cabinets, island, and double sink. Shared basement washer and dryer available. Utilities and internet included. Separate side door entrance. About the other members of the home: - On the main floor, a couple in their early 30s and their cat has their own private washroom. Their cat generally stays in their bedroom and doesn't run around the house. They both work in healthcare, but generally keep to themselves. However, they can help you around at home. Meals: I can't provide meals because of my schedule, however you are allowed to use the kitchen and appliances to cook your meals. Once a while, I may do group meals or outings (e.g., hot pot, barbecue, etc). Let me know if you have any food allergies or requests so I can make you feel at home. House rules: - Respect everyone and their property in the household. - Be responsible and clean up after yourself. - Be aware of the time of day and be reasonable with the noise level. Everyone is either studying, working (at home), or resting during the day and/or night. Quiet hours are 11pm-7am. - Laundry hours are weekdays 6pm-11pm and weekends 7am-11pm. - Let me know of any issues in message or email so I have a record. Room(s): 1.
