My family and I live in a quiet and safe residential neighborhood in South Burnaby. We have been hosting students since 2007. My husband and I have two kids, one 14-year-old and one 12-year-old. We value safety, cleanliness, kindness and respect in our home. We have two rooms available for students located in the main floor. Beside the two rooms is a full bathroom solely used by students. We only host female students. Each room has a single bed, drawer, closet, hutch/ study table, study lamp, and window. Our location is: *3 minutes walk to the bus stop *12 minutes walk to Edmonds Skytrain Station *35 minutes by skytrain to Downtown Vancouver *walking distance to park, Tommy Douglas Library, Highgate Village, Edmonds Community Center We charge $1200 every month, including wi-fi, TV, full laundry once a week, breakfast and dinner. We ask the students to keep their rooms and common areas tidy. Students must clean after themselves. Sleep over are not allowed. We ask the students to ask us first if it is ok to invite a friend/ classmate. Room(s): 1. Single Room (Room 1) with Shared bathroom Capacity: 1 Rates: Weekly / 1200.00 Monthly House Rules: 1) Shoes should be taken off as soon as you enter the house. Please let us know if you need house slippers. 2) Keep your room clean and tidy. 3) Do not cook or keep food in your room. 4)Do not leave any wet clothing or towels in your room. 5)Do not stick anything on the walls. 6)Ask your homestay family if you need extra blankets. 7) Wi-fi is free but it is NOT for downloading music or play games as this may exceed the limit. The internet is there for study purposes. 8) Never flush anything down the toilet including toilet papers and sanitary pads. Use the bin in the toilet to dispose them. Make sure the washroom is clean after use. 9)Please save water by keeping showers 5-15 minute limit and turning off the water when you brush your teeth. 10)Please make sure you turn off lights when you go to sleep and turn off fans and heating in your bedroom when you are not at home. 11)We will do your laundry once a week. 12)Smoking is not allowed. 13) If you wish to have friends visit you, please ask permission before you invite friends over. 14) Sleepovers are not allowed. 15) Your payment includes breakfast and dinner. Please let us know by 3 pm if you will not be home for dinner or if you are coming home late. 16)Please give us 3 weeks notice if you want to move out.
